Join ‘Conversation on Diversity’ Wednesday

Gena Asher | March 8, 2010
Join a Conversation on Diversity and become part of a podcast of the question and answer series in this workshop sponsored by IU Center for Student Leadership Development.

The event starts at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the journalism library. Participants will answer to "Can you share an example of a time when you have had a positive civil conversation on a controversial topic?" The session will be recorded and edited as a 60-90 second podcast to be featured on the center’s Web site.

The group also is looking for volunteers to help with the recording. Contact Vanessa Valentin to volunteer or with other questions or call 855-0975.

The workshop is part of campuswide actvities Tuesday and Wednesday to bring together faculty, staff and students to discuss key issues of democracy and culture. Departments and schools on campus are hosting workshops and talks on subjects from racism to ageism to social class to ethnicity. For more information, check out this article from IU NewsInfo.
