Owen V. Johnson is in California this week. Wednesday, he will give a public lecture on Ernie Pyle at the Wesley Palms Retirement Community in San Diego. Saturday, he will present a paper evaluating foreign assistance to media development in Slovakia since 1989 at the annual convention of the Association for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies in Los Angeles.
