The IDS, INside and the Arbutus all have been named Pacemaker finalists in the American Collegiate Press’ national contest.

In addition, several individual IU student journalists are finalists, including Kristine Ki, display ad; Crista Chapman, picture story; Jacob Kriese, feature photo; Larry Buchanan, infographic and page one; Indira Dammu, editorial; and Matt Dollinger, sports story.

ACP will announce winners at the national conference Oct. 28 through Nov. 1 in Austin, Texas.

The ACP began the awards in 1927 to honor the best of college journalism. In addition to national contests, the organization offers resources for college student journalists such as workshops and conferences, critiques and online materials. More than 20,000 students are staffers at ACP member publications.
