A profile of associate professor Radhika Parameswaran’s research on beauty, media and globalization appears in the Fall 2009 issue of Indiana University’s Research & Creativity Magazine, which focuses on scholarship related to beauty in IU’s eight campuses.

The article, "Skin Deep," examines a decade of Parameswaran’s research, including her work on the controversial 1996 Miss World pageant, news accounts of India’s six global beauty queens, and the global skin-lightening cosmetics industry.
