The International Communication Association has named doctoral student Mohammed Al-Azdee's paper, “Decomposing the Systemic Failure: Mediation Regression Modeling of The New York Times Coverage of the Underwear Bombing Attempt,” the 2011 Top Student Paper Award in the Mass Communication Division.

His paper is among several others by School of Journalism students set to be presented at the ICA conference May 26-30 in Boston.
