Assistant professor Hans Ibold addressed the "Untold Stories: Finding news in community organizations” workshop Oct. 12 in Indianapolis.

Ibold talked about "Social Media and Community Involvement: The reporter as committed observer” at the conference at IUPUI. Attendees included professional reporters and representatives of philanthropic organizations.

The School of Journalism, McCormick Foundation and IU Center on Philanthropy sponsored the daylong event for media professionals to better understand nonprofit organizations’ roles in communities and to develop strategies for reporting on them.
