Hatteberg visits Oct. 22

Larry Hatteberg, videographer at KAKE-TV in Wichita, Kan., visits the School of Journalism Oct. 22 to talk to classes and visit with students and faculty.

Assistant professor Mike Conway, who is hosting the visit, compares Hatteberg’s work with that of Bob Dotson, Charles Kuralt and other top storytellers.

Hatteberg has been shooting his own stories since 1963 and just issued a DVD of his best work. He is a two-time National Press Photographers Association Photographer of the Year award winner.

Hatteberg will talk to students in J343 Broadcast News and J353 Advanced Broadcast News. The J353 session at 1 p.m. in EP 157 is open to other interested students as well as those enrolled in the class.
