Beginning this Friday, two area professionals with ties to the School of Journalism will share their thoughts during the next year in biweekly columns in The (Bloomington) Herald-Times.
School of Journalism Director of Experiential Learning Jessica Gall, M.A. ’07, and Bloomington High School North journalism adviser Ryan Gunterman, B.S. ’02, will be writing on alternate Fridays as community columnists for the newspaper.
The Herald-Times selected 10 new columnists, including Gall and Gunterman, from 55 applicants. Columnists write about a variety of topics, mostly of their own choosing, and their work appears at the bottom of the editorial page weekdays.
Adjunct lecturer Irene Bushaw was a columnist during the previous year-long cycle.
