Beginning this fall, National Sports Journalism Center at the School of Journalism at IUPUI is welcoming its first class of students pursuing the new master's degree program in sports journalism, the nation's only graduate degree program in sports journalism.

The program, designed for both new undergraduates and working professionals returning for advanced degrees, was approved earlier this year. Students enrolled are studying a variety of topics, from how to capitalize on social media to examining how sports media professionals deal with controversy to analyzing the industry’s business models.
