Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies Michael Evans is author of a unique new kind of storytelling medium, a “blovel,” which blends fiction with a nonfiction structure.

His latest novel is presented blog-style by Downeast.com throughout the summer, then will be released as a traditional book.

The story, Island Wars, chronicles the work and experiences of young Donovan Graham, a fictional reporter living and working off the Maine coast. Graham’s thoughts are presented as a blog, complete with online comments.
