Riley Visiting Professor Dennis Elliott’s column on former White House press secretary Scott McClellan’s new book appeared in the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette in June. Elliott said he felt compelled to defend the public relations profession after McClellan’s book, What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington’s Culture of Deception, provoked commentary and misunderstandings about how PR works.
