Designers, collegiate press groups to meet at IU April 1-2

Alumna Wendy Wallace will be a keynote speaker at the ICPA conference.
The Indiana Collegiate Press Association annual conference and a Society for News Design workshop are set for April 1-2 at IU.

ICPA will bring students from around the state, including contest winners who will pick up their awards at a special luncheon. Speakers include journalism alumna Wendy Wallace, BA’85, BS’85, MBA’86, who is high school program director at the Poynter Institute.

Workshops are on topics such as “The Visual Journalist” and “Leveraging the Power of the Social Web.”  Register online.

The SND workshop, “Web Design Boot Camp,” is set for Ernie Pyle Hall and will be led by Danny DeBelius, senior Web designer for the LasVegasSun.com, and Levi Chronister, producer for the interactivity team at the Washington Post. To register, visit the SND website.
