Chicago photo workshop Oct. 27-28

Oct. 12, 2007

The School of Journalism will provide one van and lodging for  up to seven students to go to the National Press Photographers Association’s "Flying Short Course" workshop in Chicago, Oct. 27-28 at Loyola University.

The National Press Photographers Association hosts a "Flying Short Course" on one weekend a year at several locations across the country to deliver short, intense workshops to members across the nation. Each stop is a two-day event featuring national faculty one day and local faculty the second. The second day also features multimedia.

This year, the locations are Washington, D.C., Chicago and San Jose, Calif.

Associate professor and NPPA member Jim Kelly is coordinating the Chicago trip. He says participation is on a first come, first served basis and to contact him for details.
