Students interested in public relations careers may hear from a pro in an informal chat with Michael Herman of Communication Sciences International at 1 p.m. Friday, April 8, in Ernie Pyle Hall 205.

Herman’s 40 years of experience in national and international public relations earned him the Public Relations Society of America Gold Anvil for Lifetime Career Achievement award in 2009. He is on campus to deliver the April 9 keynote address during the Public Relations Student Society of America’s regional conference at IU.

More than 200 participants have registered for the April 8-9 conference, “Get Social: A Blueprint for Social Media Strategy,” sponsored by the IU’s Beth Wood Chapter of PRSSA. The IU Kelley School of Business is the site for the workshops and breakout sessions.
