Doctoral candidate Lindita Camaj will talk on “Gatekeeping the ‘Gatekeepers’: Uses and misuses of the Freedom of Information legislation in a transitional country” at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 24 in the Ernie Pyle lounge. The talk is part of an ongoing series of research colloquia this spring.

Her talk will look at FOI from the perspective of a democracy rather than a purely legal angle. Her study analyzes FOI legislation in Kosovo as it explores how such legislation affects political culture and media freedom in post-communist countries.

All are welcome to attend. The series is designed for researchers to present their work for feedback and comments from peers and colleagues.
