Cathy Bao Bean will talk about diversity and the immigrant experience Friday.
Cathy Bao Bean, educator and author of The Chopsticks-Fork Principle: A Memoir and Manual, will present the keynote speech for the IU Asian Culture Center’s celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Friday, 5 p.m., Ernie Pyle Auditorium. The title of Bao Bean’s talk is "Living and Laughing, The Chopsticks-Fork Principle: A Course in Diversity," which will focus her own immigrant experience and multiculturalism. In her book, she explains how to raise a child in a respectful context while also choosing the "path less traveled," according to a press release from IU News Room.
