Students planning to graduate in December or even in May, August or December of 2009 should apply now, according to School of Journalism recorder Jean Person. This ensures that they have met all requirements necessary and avoids last-minute snags on the path to receiving their degrees.Forms are online, and students also may check out the school’s Web page about graduation and IU’s Web page about general graduation information.
The IU Bookstore at the IMU will host a Graduation Fair Oct. 15-16 to help students with cap and gown orders, diploma orders and other details. Eligible students will receive flyers about this event in their mail this week or may download them here.
Deadline to apply is Oct. 13, and students must apply before registering for spring semester. Those filing after that date won’t see their names in the official commencement booklet. Commencement is Dec. 20 at Assembly Hall.
