Apply now for travel writers’ conference

Students who will be seniors next year and are interested in travel writing may apply for the Society of American Travel Writers Intern Program. This program will send two Indiana University School of Journalism students to the SATW convention Oct. 17-21 in Houston, Texas.

The IU School of Journalism will cover flight and registration fee which includes the cost of hotel, meals, airport transfers, and one half-day and one full-day touring of the area. SATW will provide a mentor who will offer advice on pre-trip research, story angles, editing advice and potential outlets for a finished piece.

To apply for this program, submit a resume and four to six published clips. A cover letter should explain how this trip, conference and mentoring opportunity will advance your career goals.
