Apply now for journalism admission

Applications for May and August admission to the School of Journalism now are available on the school Web site’s Forms page. Check “May 2009 Admission Application for Current Undergraduates” or “August 2009 Application for Current Undergraduates.”

The admission requirements for the School of Journalism are 26 credit hours with a 2.20 grade point average on a 4.00 scale, including:
  • Journalism J110, J200 or J210, grade of C or above
  • English composition or exemption, grade of C or above
  • One college-level mathematics course or exemption, grade of C- or above
  • One semester of a foreign language
  • 26 credit hours passed, IU GPA 2.20 or above

Only those students who will have all of the admission requirements by the end of the spring semester should file an application for May admission. The deadline to apply is May 8.

Only those students who will have all of the admission requirements by the end of Summer Session II should file an application for August admission. The deadline to apply is Aug. 14.
