Apply for Pulliam interviews by Sept. 27

Sign up no later than Monday, Sept. 27, to be considered for interviews with the recruiter for the Pulliam Journalism Fellowships.

Alan Blanchard will be in Ernie Pyle Hall Oct. 1 to interview candidates for the fellowship, which includes a weekly stipend and 10 weeks working at either the Indianapolis Star or Arizona Republic.

Juniors, seniors and graduate students enrolled as of Nov. 1 who are committed to a career in news journalism are eligible. Other requirements:
  • Minimum of two and preferably four semesters working for a campus newspaper or magazine;
  • Minimum of one semester or summer, preferably two semesters or summers, at an official internship
  • Strong grade point average

Take these materials to Careers Services Director Marcia Debnam no later than 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27:
  • One page resume
  • Two writing samples copied onto 8.5 x 11 inch paper
  • Other media formats for photography, copy editing, graphic design
