This year, the internship is with Options, an organization that provides services to more than 200 children and adults with disabilities through a variety of residential settings. The intern will help with communications activities, such as writing and editing news releases, working with new media and planning special events.
The internship is from mid-November through mid-April, and consists of 150 hours of part-time work with a stipend of $1,000 from the Bloomington Press Club.
The details:
- The internship is open to juniors, seniors and graduate students in journalism or related communications majors.
- Apply by Oct. 21 to professor Jack Dvorak, who is a board member of the Bloomington Press Club and member of its scholarship committee. Applications are available outside his office door in Ernie Pyle Hall’s main office (200J). Submit all materials to his mailbox in Ernie Pyle Hall.
- Finalists will be notified for interviews by Nov. 10.
