Rafat Ali, MA ’01, will be a featured speaker at the Society of Professional Journalists’ convention Aug. 27-30 at the Westin Hotel in Indianapolis.

He’ll talk about launching PaidContent.org several years ago, the hurdles he faced and lessons learned during his lecture Aug. 29. He’ll also address the future and how journalists can deliver news in a diverse media environment, according to the SPJ convention itinerary.

SPJ is celebrating its 100th year. The conference will feature speakers and workshops as well as awards ceremonies.
