Honors students and professor Dave Boeyink are exploring and working in London for eight weeks.
Many college students study abroad. But only a few work abroad in jobs related to their future careers. Thirteen journalism majors get that chance this summer.

Professor David Boeyink is leading these honors students who are participating in the IU School of Journalism Summer in London program during May and June. Each student will work in a newspaper, magazine, public relations firm or Web company.

They also are taking a night course in British media and culture, learning more about the history, social context and politics of the media system in which they are working.

And they are taking in the culture of London and Europe with trips to the theatre and the Tower of London, excursions to Brighton and Canterbury and travel to Europe.

Read about their life in London as students share stories of work, travel and the shrinking dollar.
