At right, Jeri Reichanadter, picture editor and photojournalist at The Indianapolis Star and president of the Indiana News Photographers Association, reviewed Matt Beuoy’s photojournalism portfolio as Jesslene Ames and Heather Brogden watched during an INPA gathering Feb. 22 at IUPUI in Indianapolis.

The three photojournalism students traveled to the IUPUI with students Ethan Cirmo and Eli Espinosa and associate professor Jim Kelly to attend the annual meeting of the INPA. INPA members critiqued student portfolios as well as conducted their own contest, with judges David Stephenson of the Lexington Herald-Leader, Nancy Stone of the Chicago Tribune and Michael Chow of the Arizona Republic presiding.

The students observed the judging, then joined the judges and INPA officers for dinner.
