The Web is a robust resource of job and internship possibilities, but just Googling "journalism jobs" may not result in just what you want. Try these links, categorized according to media specializations. We’ve also included some general sites and some that link to IU career resources.

http://www.snd.org - This is the Web site of The Society for News Design (formerly the Society of Newspaper Design), an international, non-profit and professional organization with more than 2,500 members in the United States, Canada and 50 other countries, divided into 19 regions. Our membership is comprised of editors, designers, graphic artists, publishers, illustrators, art directors, photographers, advertising artists, website designers, students and faculty. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in journalism and design.

http://mediageneral.com - Media General is an independent, publicly owned communications company situated primarily in the Southeast with interests in newspapers, television stations, interactive media and diversified information services.

http://www.nab.org/bcc/ - this is the career page for the National Association of Broadcasters. Most of the job listing are middle or senior level, but check out their scholarships and internships page, which has a link from the current page. Also check out the Career Resources page, which gives an overview of the job opportunities in the TV industry. Very Useful.

http://tvandradiojobs.com/ - good database of jobs. You can post your resume in Real Audio, helpful especially for reporting/anchoring jobs.

http://www.showbizjobs.com - a very good database of current jobs in entertainment industry. Has listings from most of the major networks and online entertainment sites. There are some internships as well, but they are not listed separately.

Good for people who want to go into public affairs writing or PR.
