The International Public Relations class, taught by Ralph Winslow Visiting Professor Jim Bright, travels to Tokyo during spring break to visit international public relations firms and the press attache at the U.S. Embassy to learn from the professionals who work there. The group also visits cultural sites, such as Emperor’s Palace, and visits with alumni living in the area.
This four-credit-hour course focuses on the challenges and opportunities that PR professionals face in Japan and East Asia. In this class, students will gain knowledge of Asian countries and America’s interdependence with them, as well as a global perspective on opportunities in business and public relations.
