Biography
Sangwon Park is a doctoral student at the IU School of Journalism in fall 2009 after earning a master’s degree in journalism from University of Missouri-Columbia in 2002. Sangwon was a writer and editor for corporate magazines for about 10 years and her major clients were Asiana Airlines, Daewoo Engineering and Construction, Unilever, Diageo, Hansol and Renault Samsung Motors.
She also taught public relations writing and magazine production to undergraduates at Hallym University in Korea. Her teaching experience eventually led her to continue along the academic path.
Sangwon is interested in researching media ethics and sports journalism, covering issues such as truth conflicting with other values, intercultural dimensions of media ethics and ethics in cyberspace.
