John Patishnock
Biography
John Patishnock is pursuing a master's degree in the School of Journalism. Originally from State College, Pennsylvania, John completed his BA in journalism from Penn State University in 2005.
John is an independent filmmaker, and has directed, produced, and written two feature-length documentaries. Additionally, he has completed numerous other projects, and has had his films shown at national conferences in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Indianapolis, Indiana.
In addition to filmmaking, his main interests are writing, working within radio, and meeting new people and telling their stories.
Outside of journalism, John is passionate about environmental issues, and plans to complete research on this topic in grad school, as well as help to implement numerous environmental initiatives at IU during his time in Bloomington.
