Shi Li
Biography
LI Shi joined the PhD program in the School of Journalism in fall 2008. She was born in China and received a BA in English from Xiamen University, Fujian Province, and worked for four years as a picture and a web editor at "China Daily" in Beijing. She earned an MA in Journalism from Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, USA, in 2007. The following year she was part of a joint photography team put together by her former newspaper and Contact Press Images to cover the Summer Olympic Games. She has also been involved in research and translation for diverse academic and publishing projects related to the history of Chinese documentary photography. Her research interests include international communication, new media, and the history of photojournalism.
