Calendar:
- Feb. 13 and 16, drop by the journalism library 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday and 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday for Career Cafe. Talk over your job and internship concerns with Career Services director Marcia Debnam.
- Through Feb. 14, the IU chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists is selling roses, cards and candy for Valentine's Day as a fundraiser for the chapter. Contact Latonya Yarbro for details. Also, the chapter meets every Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Ernie Pyle Hall 208 if you are interested in getting involved.
- Feb. 20, doctoral student Valerie Aquila will talk on “Smithsonian 9/11 Conversations: The role of engaged visitors in the creation of individual-level audience frames,” at 4 p.m. in the Ernie Pyle Hall lounge. Her talk is part of the school's Research Colloquium series.
- Feb. 20, the School Speaker Series kicks off with author David Margolick, whose new book is Elizabeth and Hazel, which examines the lives behind two women featured in a famous photo from the Civil Rights era. The photo was taken by Will Counts, who later was a photojournalism professor at the school. Check out the details.
- Feb. 21, the American Student Radio website will go live with a party at 4 p.m. in the Walnut Room of the Indiana Memorial Union.
- Feb. 28, Katharine Weymouth, publisher of The Washington Post, is the second Speaker Series guest. Read all the details on the website.
- Feb. 29, deadline to apply for the Roy W. Howard National Collegiate Reporting Competition.
- March 9 is the deadline to file for degree completion and see your name in the May commencement book. All the details are on the website.
Lab and library hours:
Both the multimedia and library have the same hours for regular semesters:- 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday
- 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday
- Closed Saturday
- 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday
