Jazz from Bloomington is able to attract great jazz musicians to Bloomington and make the performances available to the public for a much lower cost. Monika’s most recent efforts involved booking the Al Cobine Big Band for a Hoagy Carmichael tribute concert. (5:10)

Monkia not only books jazz acts, she is a successful jazz musician as well. Monika Herzig and her husband Peter Kienle perform one of their original jazz pieces at the Indiana Memorial Union. Monika plays keyboard and Peter plays electric six-string bass guitar. (0:31)
