Raymer ethics article in News Photographer
Raymer ethics article in News Photographer

Published: Aug. 30, 2007

Professor Steve Raymer writes this month's ethics and values column in the August 2007 edition of News Photographer Magazine, the official journal of the National Press Photographers Association.

In "No Cash for the Flash: Paying for Photographs Doesn't Always Mean Handing Over Cash," Raymer uses the recent finger-pointing over which media outlets would have exclusive post-jailhouse photographs of Paris Hilton to examine how paying for access and camera position can compromise journalistic independence.
