Roy W. Howard Research Professor David Weaver has two chapters published in a just-released book, Online Journalism in the Arab World: Realities and Challenges from the University of Sharjah Press in the United Arab Emirates.

The chapters are "Online Journalism and New Media in Promoting Arab-American Understanding" and "New Trends in Journalism and Media Education: The American Experience
and Future Challenges."

In November 2005, Weaver attended the conference at the University of Sharjah upon which the book is based.
