Phillips contest deadline March 31

The deadline is March 31 for the Thomas L. Phillips Collegiate Journalism contest, which awards up to $5,000 for undergraduate journalists.

Entries must be news stories (no commentaries or editorials) and must have been published in a college or university newspaper in print or online. Work published for an internship or for a class assignment is not acceptable. Entries must have been written between Jan. 1 and March 31, 2007.

Stories should be copied from the original publication on 8.5 x 11 paper. Articles larger should be reduced to fit that size and multiple pages are allowed.
