The Chronicle of Education is accepting applications for the 2006 David W. Miller Award for Student Journalists through June 1.

Candidates submit up to three samples of published work and a one-page letter describing the articles and why they were chosen for submission. The samples of published work must have appeared in a campus publication during the 2005-2006 academic year. Each piece of writing should be journalistic, using expository, explanatory, narrative, or other techniques to report even-handedly on a topic of intellectual interest.

The Chronicle will announce the winner of the $2,500 prize in the fall.
