Bonnie Brownlee, the School of Journalism's associate dean for undergraduate studies, has been named to IU's inaugural Leadership Development Project, or IU LeaD.

The project is designed to help identify future leaders on all eight IU campuses.

Brownlee, who received her bachelor's and master's degrees from IU's School of Journalism, is one of 30 faculty members who were nominated by university administrators from across the state to be a part of IU LeaD. She has been on the School of Journalism's faculty since 1981.

"Each of the candidates who comprise the inaugural class of IU LeaD participants has great potential for even higher levels of professional success," IU President Adam Herbert told IU Home Pages.

Participants in IU LeaD will attend leadership seminars on topics such as "Strategic Management and Balanced Scorecard Competency Model." The seminars were designed by IU professors.
