Goh, professors present work

Doctoral student Debbie Goh and professor Christine Ogan, together with professors Manju Ahuja (Information Systems), Jean Robinson (Political Science) and Susan Herring (SLIS), presented a paper, "Being the Same Isn't Enough: Same-Sex Mentoring and Students' Self-efficacy in IT-Related Fields," at the American Educational Research Association's Postsecondary Education Division in San Francisco.

Debbie Goh also won a top student paper award presented by the International Communication Association's Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Studies Interest
Group. She will present the paper, "It's the Gays' Fault: News and HIV as Weapons Against Homosexuality in Singapore," at ICA's annual meeting in Dresden, Germany.
