Weaver to address two D.C. groups

Published: March 30, 2006

Roy W. Howard Professor David Weaver travels to Washington, D.C., next week to address two different groups on reporters' changing roles.

April 5, he speaks to a group at George Washington University's School of Media and Public Affairs on "American Journalists: How Have They Changed in 30 Years?"

The next day, he'll talk about foreign press representatives and their work in covering the U.S. Capital to members of the Smithsonian World Affairs Institute Program on U.S. and the Global Media. For this talk, presented by the IU School of Continuing Studies, Weaver teams with professor Lars Willnat (Ph.D. '92) of George Washington University's School of Media and Public Affairs.
