Fargo to speak on reporter privilege

Published: February 27, 2006

Professor Tony Fargo has been invited to address a symposium at the William H. Bowen School of Law at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock Law School in April on the ability of reporters to protect confidential sources.

In addition, the UALR Law Review will publish an article based on Fargo's research about the privilege issue.

Other participants in the April 7 symposium will include Judge Susan Webber Wright, who dismissed the Paula Jones lawsuit against Clinton, and Lucy Dalglish, executive director of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press in Washington.

C-SPAN is expected to cover the symposium, and the Arkansas Continuing Legal Education Board will grant continuing legal education credit for attorneys who attend.

For more information, see the law review Web site.
