Professor Owen V. Johnson gave a talk on his research, "Media and Nation in 20th Century Sovakia," at Lviv National University in Lviv, Ukraine, July 10.

He spoke to participants in the Regional Seminar for Excellence in Teaching devoted to "Media Literacy, Curriculum Development and Research as a Tool for Innovation in Teaching," which he is advising.

The seminar, which is part of the Higher Education Support Program, sponsored by the Open Society Institute, has drawn participants from Ukraine, Russia, Tadzhikistan, Kazakhstan, Bosnia and Romania.
