A research project by assistant professor Mike Conway, Department of Telecommunications associate professor Maria Elizabeth Grabe and doctoral student Kevin Grieves has been published in the latest edition of Journalism Studies.

"Villains, Victims and the Virtuous in the Bill O'Reilly's 'No-Spin Zone,': Revisiting world war propaganda techniques," is a study of O'Reilly's use of propaganda devices as well as good and evil in his nightly "Talking Points Memo" editorials.

An earlier version of this study won a top faculty award from the Journalism Studies Division of the International Communication Association annual conference in Dresden, Germany.
