Jeremy Shere is a freelance writer and producer based in Bloomington, Indiana. He has written for magazines (Reform Judaism, Bloom, IU Research & Creative Activity, The Jerusalem Report), produced documentaries for Indiana public television, and is a producer for Sound Medicine, a weekly news magazine about health and medicine broadcast throughout Indiana and in several other states. He also writes for the science-themed radio program A Moment of Science and EarthSky.
Shere is currently writing a book about alternative energy, titled "Renewable: A Reporter's Quest to Make Sense of the Coming Revolution in Alternative Energy" for St. Martin's Press. You can learn more about the book and follow Shere's related blog at renewablebook.wordpress.com.
Shere has a Ph.D. in English and Jewish Studies from Indiana University and has taught writing and journalism at IU since 1997.
