Author of “Real Feature Writing” (Taylor and Francis, June 2006, 2nd Edition), and Editor, “Real Sports Reporting” (Indiana University Press, 2003). Author of “Chuck Taylor, All Star: The True Story of the Man Behind the Most Famous Athletic Shoe in History” (Indiana University Press, March 2006). Author, “Shooting Star: The Rise and Fall of the British Motorcycle Industry” (ECW Press, Toronto, Sept. 2009) and co-author, “Crash Course: Middle America’s Battle to Save the Car Industry,” (ECW Press, Toronto, February 2010).
Have taught journalism at Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, Indiana University-Bloomington, Georgia Southern University and Butler University.
