The School of Journalism is run entirely on Apple computers, which have become the industry standard in journalism. Apple provides the most complete and usable set of tools for creating the content of modern journalism, including writing, audio, video, photographs and graphic design. Our staff believes Apples are less prone to viruses and malware, are reliable and maintain their value longer than Windows-based computers.
If you are a prospective student, this does not mean that you need to purchase an Apple computer for your own usage. Our technology is fully compatible with Windows-based computers. Additionally, the multimedia lab has many Apple computers that can be used for completing assignments.
