Associate professor Claude Cookman is curating an exhibit at the Kinsey Institute gallery, “Infinitely variable: Nude and Erotic Photographs by Herbert Ascherman Jr.” Cookman selected from more than 400 original prints in the permanent collection of works by Ascherman, who has been working as a fine art photographer for more than 40 years. This year’s class of Ernie Pyle Scholars includes those with predictable skills for would-be journalism professionals: editors of high school publications, veterans of IU’s High School Journalism Institute and those who have scored high enough on entrance exams to earn prestigious scholarships.
